SUTTON St James Baptist Church was transformed into a cathedral of colours for its annual flower festival.
At least 500 people from the village and elsewhere visited the three-day event where a variety of flowers were on display, including chrysanthemums and lillies.
The event also included a range of plant, craft, fashion and bric-a-brac stalls put together by a team of about 30 volunteers.
Church leader Ross Dean praised volunteers for their efforts during the event which was resurrected almost ten years after a period of absence.
Mr Dean said: “At least 500 people came, a good number for such a small village, and we had a record number of about 80 people at our Sunday service.
“We’ve had very positive feedback from people who enjoyed it and a lot of them said they would come again.”
