ST John’s Church, Spalding, is celebrating the success of its summer fair after raising more than £1,000 for a number of causes.
More than 100 people visited the event which included plant and craft stalls, children’s games, cakes and other refreshments.
Some of the money raised will go to the SPACE4U counselling centres based at Johnson Hospital and Broad Street Methodist Centre.
Reverend Peter Garland, vicar of St John’s, said: ”It was a very traditional summer fair which people enjoyed because it was a chance to get together and meet as a small church.
“We had quite a few new people out, even though it wasn’t a very brilliant day, and we raised over £1,000 which is very good for an event of that type.
“The money raised is going towards refurbishing the building, quite a few running costs and supporting local good causes such as the SPACE4U counselling centres.”
