A lovely annual tradition continued in Gosberton Risegate last week when pensioners in the area were given Christmas gifts.

Over 300 senior citizens in the area recieved these gifts, which are funded by the small Relief in Need committee of trustees, made up of Rev Ian Walters, David Casswell, John Clark and Coleen Sheppard.

All those living within the Gosberton and Risegate area and receiving old age pensions are eligible.

One resident, Edward Peak, attended proudly wearing his Royal Signals medals to recieve his gift.

The gifts were distributed from the village churches, with 263 attending in Gosberton and 115 in Risegate.

This long-running charity has been going since the 1950s.
