Saturday is a particularly festive day in Crowland on Saturday.
The abbey is turning the clock back to medieval times with its St Nicholas Craft and Food Fair (10am to 3pm).
Plans to step back to a time when the abbey was used as a market place have been underway for most of the year in a bid to raise funds for the running and restoration of the ancient building.
As in past times, there will be stalls for clothing, decorations and cards as well as books, CDs, DVDs, jewellery, gifts and toys.
Entry is 50p for adults, children free.
From 3.30pm there’s a fayre in North Street , with Santa in his grotto and a variety of stalls and food available. Santa will switch on the Christmas lights at Trinity Bridge at 5pm.
