Legendary boxer Chris Eubank is guest speaker at Spalding Round Table’s 20th anniversary boxing night.
The club has played host to the charitable boxing night since 1995 and the event has become one of the most important fundraising occasions in the district.
The male only black tie evening typically features eight top class amateur boxing bouts between regular home team, the Police Boxing Club, and a differing guest “away” team.
Each year, a guest speaker also takes to the ring to entertain the audience with stories and anecdotes from their boxing career, a role that will fall to Chris Eubank on February 22 in Spalding.
As well as providing a memorable evening of entertainment, the focus on the night is about raising money for charity, with a tote, raffle, casino, plus both silent and live auctions. Many local charities and good causes have benefited hugely over the years from the event.
One of the organisers said: “At one point it was sold out and in a record rate. Persistent interest in this year’s event led to further discussion with the events centre, and we are happy to announce an extension of tables and tickets now being available.”
Two tables are free, plus a limited number of large-group packages and single tickets. Visit www.spaldingroundtable.co.uk/20years or email firstname.lastname@example.org
