Class teacher Anett Baxter said the celebration fitted in with this term’s class topic of fabulous food.

To the sound of Chinese music, the pupils tucked into a banquet of noodles, rice, chicken in batter, spring rolls and prawn crackers – and loved it.

Anett said: “They really enjoyed trying out new flavours and different textures and colours on the plate.

“They all tried all the different food and they were given a set of chop sticks to take home.”
