Children from Little Warriors classes in Holbeach, Sibsey, Bicker, Sutterton, Long Sutton, Cowbit and Crowland all competed in the Inter-Club Championships for martial arts.

The competition was on Saturday at the WI Hall in Holbeach. It was a long day for the children aged four to 14 as the event lasted from 10.30am to 7pm.

And action!

And action!

Head of both associations Rick Bradley and Sally Maddison organised the day. Mr Bradley said: “Nearly everyone received medals and they all had a good time.”

Martial arts rely on acute physical condition and mental focus. The sport teaches fighting and self-defence but its mental and moral aspects are important, too.

Parents should encourage their kids to take up sports like this because it will give them so many life skills and Little Warriors encourage this in their karate members.
