CROWLAND resident Pam Thompson has put down her prescription pad after 35 years’ service at a town chemist.

Mrs Thompson (67), a former winner of the Spalding Guardian ‘Super Server’ award, has been a supervisor at Lloyds in North Street, for most of her working life.

She said: “Truthfully I don’t know what my plans for retirement are, mainly gardening.”

The former postwoman was presented with flowers, cards and champagne at the town chemists, at a party attended by friends and colleagues, including Lincolnshire area manager Adrian Bunn, who said: “It is a fantastic privilege to be able to celebrate such a milestone with Pam.”
