A CHARITY pub crawl was thirsty work when a group of friends went on a ten-mile trek in blazing sunshine.

Twenty-two walkers set off from the Lamb and Flag in Whaplode, visiting The Swan in Moulton, Deer’s Leap in Weston, The Kitchen at Springfields and, in Spalding, The Birds, White Horse, Ship Albion, Ivy Wall, Poacher and the Robin Hood.

Wearing bright orange ‘MS’ T-shirts, they were raising money for the local group of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Organiser Louise Jones said: “It was a brilliant turnout and the landlords were fantastic to let us in their pubs in bright orange T-shirts.”

The charity was chosen because the sister of fellow organiser Katie Dunmore has MS.

Louise said: “This is our third year and we know we’ve beaten last year’s total. Everyone has said they want to take part again next year.”
