It’s all been going on at Holbeach Primary School this term – with an open day for parents and the unveiling of a new shelter.

The wooden structure cost about £3,000 but was made possible with the help of Holbeach’s Chosen charity shop.

It will now be used as a “friendship shelter” where youngsters can meet up with friends at playtimes.

Headteacher Sue Boor said: “It is something we would have had to save for so we are very grateful to Chosen for joing forces with out PTFA to buy it for us. It is already proving popular.”

Earlier this month parents and parents of prospective pupils had the chance to see behind the scenes on a “typical” day at the school’s latest open days.
