LINCOLNSHIRE and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, Phab (Physically Handicapped and Able Bodied) and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charities are each £250 better off thanks to the efforts of the St Norbert’s Over-50s Group who donated the money at a presentation event on Monday.
The money was raised from the entry fees levied to allow people to enjoy new-age curling and bowls matches which the club organises.
The club meets every Monday from 2pm-4pm at St Norbert’s Community Hall in Spalding.
Group leader Norma Beveridge said anyone who would like to join in is welcome to attend one of the sessions. She said another three charities will benefit in the future when more money is raised.
