Five apprentices at Bakkavor of Spalding received certificates at a presentation on Wednesday, having completed the academic stage of their probationary period.

Those pictured with certificates are (from left) Ryan Follen (administration), Macaulay Walker (manufacturing), apprentice co-ordinator Joe Wade, Sam Darlow (manufacturing), Levi Mann (administration) and Regan Deans (new product development). Evie Goodliffe, who entered Bakkavor’s Technical apprenticeship in September 2012, now has full-time employment in the Technical department at Bakkavor’s pizza facility in Holbeach.

The company launched its Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme in May 2012, taking on 11 apprentices, but plans to take on a further 44 in September, 21 based in the Lincolnshire area.
