Celebrating the Queen’s jubilee

PREPARING for their Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebration meant weeks of fun at a centre for people with learning difficulties.

Day visitors to the Chappell Centre in Pinchbeck Road, Spalding, made all of the decorations, flags, bunting and hats and set tables to look like a real street party.

The party was sponsored by Spalding Local Action Group and included tea, games and a disco.

Among the 50 who attended, along with 10 members of staff, were people with learning difficulties who receive support in their own homes.
