THE accent was on Spalding and the east coast of Lincolnshire when Liam Robinson, from The Mini Morris Company, led a music and dance workshop at St Norbert’s Roman Catholic Primary School in Spalding.

All 181 pupils learned songs that were popular in this area up to 200 years ago as part of their culture week which saw all classes learning about different continents.

School inclusion manager Melissa Ford said St Norbert’s decided to celebrate Lincolnshire’s own culture as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics are being held this year.

She said: “It was lovely to see all of the children from the youngest to the oldest learning about our local folk traditions.”
