Let’s celebrate! – the theme of this year’s Flower Parade that leaves Springfields at 2pm on Saturday.
The 55th flower parade will then weave its way into Spalding town centre (3pm on), the last one ever to be held.
It’s a last for the flower parade but a first in over 100 years for Moulton Mill, which has started producing flour again.
The first few bags sold out quickly last weekend – one to MP John Hayes – but it is hoped there will be more for sale at the craft fair that is part of Springfields Festival being held on Saturday (9am to 6pm) and Sunday (10am to 5pm). Admission £6/£5 Saturday, £3 all tickets Sunday when there is also a Classic Car Show.
In addition, catch the many church flower festivals taking place throughout the district over the Bank Holiday weekend and beyond.
