CHEAP and cheerful ceilidhs held for the fun of it at Pinchbeck church hall are attracting a growing number of fans and still going strong after two years.

Launched by Spalding folk band The Beltonas who play free and charge a minimal fee just to cover the hire of the hall, the Pinchbeck ceilidhs are proving that Strictly Come Dancing fever isn’t confined to TV-watching alone.

Paul Dickinson, of The Beltonas, said: “When we started off playing at ceilidhs, many were held in village halls, but people aren’t so keen to organise them any more, which we thought was a shame.

“That’s why we launched the Pinchbeck ceilidhs and kept them as cheap as possible.”

l Next ceilidh on December 2. More details from 01775 723026.
