The Friends of Deepings Library have received cash boosts totalling over £3,000 from two local businesses since re-opening their doors earlier this month.
Cyclists from the Spin Room who raised £400 for the library last summer by riding the 172 miles from Deeping to Brighton, presented Lorraine Watkins of the Friends with a cheque. They were supported by builder Neil Harris, Louise Spriggs of Marriott and Stimson and Sarah Devonport from Devonports Kitchens and Bathrooms.
And Helen Joyce, of Market Deeping Co-op Food Store, presented the Friends with a cheque for £2,640 from Central England Co-operative’s Community Dividend Fund.
Both contributions will be used to improve furniture and equipment at the library.
