Get free advertising for your business
ANP Services is the latest Business Accelerator entrant.
Dragons’ Den inspired Business Accelerators mentors are preparing to breath fire into local firms to help this year’s winners succeed.
The search is on again for the region’s most promising young businesses in the Spalding Guardian Local Business Accelerators promotion.
South Lincolnshire-based business mentors are Spalding Guardian and Lincolnshire Free Press editor Jeremy Ransome, Deborah Brown from Roythornes solicitors, Keith Forrest from NatWest bank and Alistair Main from Duncan and Toplis chartered accountants.
TV Dragon and entrepreneur Deborah Meaden will provide a year’s mentoring to the overall national winner, chosen from the regional finalists. The winning business will also receive a local advertising campaign devised by a top London creative agency.
The scheme offers firms aged between one and five years the chance to win a free advertising campaign in the Spalding Guardian and our sister paper the Lincolnshire Free Press as well as mentoring support from business leaders.
Mentors have been helping last year’s South Lincolnshire winners reach their potential and are looking forward to meeting their new clients.
Guardian eEditor Jeremy Ranson said: “Business Accelerator is a really great campaign and something I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of last year.”
Deborah Brown, of Roythornes, said: “We help a large number of businesses and are very pleased to be supporting the local economy and those working within it.
“We will be able to advise on the best type of structure for any company moving forwards, and how to make sure they are protected and able to react to opportunities as they arise.”
Alistair Main, of Duncan and Toplis, said: “The country has a strong entrepreneurial tradition and it is vital that this continues and that new businesses are given the right support at the start of their existence.
“I am, therefore, looking forward to meeting the young businesses in the local area and am thrilled to be able to support them to hopefully establish them for the long term.
And Keith Forrest, of NatWest, added: ““The best part of my job is meeting business owners and working with them to provide solutions to their business needs.
“Ultimately I would like to be considered as a trusted business adviser, discussing issues and opportunities with my clients as soon as possible.”
