We recently caught up again with Chris Davison, who was Community Beat Inspector in Spalding some two years ago.
Chris was promoted to Acting Chief Inspector at Lincolnshire Police HQ at Nettleham with the job of monitoring the work of G4S Security Company who provide behind the scenes support to Lincolnshire Police.
He explained that his job was part of the checks and balances required under this novel, ground breaking contract that has saved our Force a substantial amount of money.
Chris has recently been moved into control room support. Although he’s now based in Nettleham he still lives close to Spalding.
He has been in the Police since joining as a Cadet in 1997 which was the fulfilment of a lifelong dream. He spoke a little of his own career and his future aspirations within Lincolnshire Police including working with the NHS and improving mental health provision in Lincolnshire
Another hot topic of conversation was the Lincolnshire Police 1,000 volunteer project. This is a project promoted by Lincolnshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Hardwick, which aims to increase the number of volunteers in the Lincolnshire Police up to 1,000 by April 2016.
