Spalding chippie Oh My Cod is joining in celebrations for National Chip Week with a special offer for customers.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday only (February 20, 21 and 22) customers with the voucher printed in Thursday’s Spalding Guardian can buy one and get one free on regular fish and chips.
National Chip Week highlights the freshness, good value and great tradition of Britain’s high street chippies – and inspires the nation to tuck into a tasty portion.
Bill Rai, who runs the chippie in Alexandra Road with his wife Sandy, has built a good reputation in the two years he’s been at the newly refurbished shop.
As well as selling pies, sausages, burgers and other “extras” in addition to traditional fish and chips, his customers appreciate the fact that all the fish is sustainably sourced and potatoes are locally grown.
The family-run chippie is open on Monday from 4-8pm, Tuesday to Saturday from 11.30am to 1.30pm and from 4-8pm. The shop is closed on Sunday.
