Coffee drinkers at Butters Group factory shop added £520 to funds supporting local people living with cancer.

The firm in Spalding’s Kellet Gate invited Spalding and Holbeach Macmillan Cancer Support Committee to set up a coffee and cake outlet on Friday.

Committee vice chairman Catherine Stone said: “It was probably one of the best coffee mornings we’ve had.

“The money that we raise around here gets spent around here – that’s one of the good things about Macmillan fundraising.”

Shop staff and customers supported the event and Butters staff from the nearby offices also popped in to boost the total.
