SPALDING Masons from the Hundred of Elloe Lodge have given a £500 boost to the Butterfly Hospice charity.

Money came from the a countywide masonic fund, which has this year given £60,000 to deserving causes.

As well as nominating Butterfly Hospice for cash help, the Hundred of Elloe Lodge supported a Stamford-based charity – called Anna’s Hope – which helps children and young people diagnosed with brain tumours.

Anna’s Hope also received £500.

Lodge secretary Terry Hall said: “We ask the membership to nominate deserving causes and these were the first two to be suggested.

“We are asking again now for more nominations for the coming year.”
