NUMBERS of young people out of work in South Holland is at its highest level since 2009.

Latest Government figures show that at the end of September there were 510 people aged between 16 and 24 claiming Jobseekers Allowance in South Holland – which is likely to be only the tip of the iceberg.

The true figure for young people out of work is likely to be much higher.

And if the trend seen throughout 2011 so far is anything to go by, the figure looks set to go higher still.
