Time is nearly up for firms to enter this year’s South Holland Business Awards but there is one more opportunity to find out more about the event.

Winners in six categories will be named during a black tie dinner at Springfields Events and Conference Centre on Thursday November 20 at 7pm.

Awards for Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Supporting the Community, Business Innovation of the Year, Apprentice of the Year and Customer Care will be decided by a panel of judges after tomorrow’s deadline.

Bakkavor Spalding won the Supporting the Community Award last year after organising events for staff and their families, including an It’s a Knockout tournament and concert in aid of Help for Heroes.

Terry Moore of Bakkavor Spalding said: “We were delighted to be recognised last year for our work in supporting the local community.

“Our management team actively encourages employees to champion and support local initiatives.

“This includes the Party in the Park at Springfields which raised £10,000 for Gosberton House School, which is our staff shop’s chosen charity for 2014.

“We have been overwhelmed by the support of the people of Spalding and the surrounding areas who came to the event.

“Each year, we aim to build on the successes of the previous one and improve on our relations with the local community by supporting initiatives close to our heart.”
