These members of staff at Taylors Bulbs of Holbeach have plenty to smile about – they are the proud recipient of the Garden Industry Manufacturers’ Association Supplier of the Year 2014.
Awarded at their annual dinner, sales director Steve Le-Sage collected the trophy and certificate on behalf of the company. The prestigious GINIA awards are recognised as the garden industry event of the year recognising excellence in new products, marketing support and export achievements. Winning these coveted prizes is recognised as a significant achievement. The Supplier of the Year Award was judged by a panel from the UK Garden Centre Association further to nominations from members. Judges were looking at the level of support from suppliers in terms of margin potential, value, reliability and other forms of support. The judges said: “Taylors Bulbs offer a complete service to customers. Key highlights that helped them to stand out include mail carriage paid orders, well packaged goods at competitive retails, and good bespoke promotions.” Adam Taylor, director of Taylors Bulbs, said: “We are delighted to win this award and even more so for it being the second consecutive year. “To be recognised by our own customers is a tremendous credit to everyone who works in the business as well as our suppliers and it reflects that the commitment and service given to our customers by everyone at Taylors sets us apart not only from our competition supplying flower bulbs to garden retailers, but also shows we set an impressive standard for all suppliers in the industry.”
