The Screwfix team at the Spalding store is celebrating after scooping the company’s highest accolade.
The store at Unit 1, Bervor Close off Wardentree Lane, Pinchbeck, has been named the Screwfix Store of the Year 2015.
It has beaten off competition from more than 450 Screwfix stores up and down the country.
Graham Bell, Screwfix’s store operations director, visited the Spalding store during the competition.
He said: “Our annual ‘Store of the Year’ competition is fiercely competitive, it’s built on measuring performance on both sales and service, alongside how the store is presented and interaction between staff and customers.
“Our branch in Spalding not only ticked the right boxes in terms of being commercially successful, but the team members are completely dedicated to their work and are enthusiastic about their products.”
Emma Watts, branch manager, said: “It’s great to be recognised as one of Screwfix’s top branches, and is testimony to the team’s hard work.
“Key to winning was getting staff buy-in, with everyone in-store engaged with the competition process.
“It’s about providing the best levels of service every day and this is something we will continue past the competition.“Our customers know they can speak to a member of staff who can help find the right products.”
