More than 100 of the East of England’s leading business owners and professionals have taken part in the Moore Thompson annual tax conference.

The free event held at the South Holland Centre was organised by the firm, which has offices in Spalding, Market Deeping and Wisbech, to assist businesses with the latest changes to the UK’s tax regime – including amendments made days before in the Autumn Statement.

The highlight of the event was a talk from leading tax specialist Giles Mooney – a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser, who has been involved in UK tax training for more than two decades.

Speaking after the successful event, Mark Hildred, managing partner at Moore Thompson, said: “We were delighted that so many people turned out and joined us for our free annual tax conference in Spalding.

“With the start of the new year just around the corner there is no better time to reassess ones affairs, so I hope the advice provided by our partners and our special speaker Giles proved useful to those who attended.”

Moore Thompson regularly holds seminar’s throughout the region to assist businesses, individuals and a wide range of organisations with their tax and accounting requirements.
