Businesses in South Holland can learn about the new opportunities available to them from a multi-million rail project across eastern England.
Jamie Cooper, access manager for Network Rail’s £280million upgrade of the East Coast Main Line, is one of the guest speakers at the South Holland Enterprise Day and Business Awards on November 20.
The event at Springfields Events and Conference Centre is organised by Spalding and District Chamber of Commerce to give firms in South Holland the chance to showcase their successes.
The Spalding Guardian and Lincolnshire Free Press is backing the event which also includes a trade exhibition, networking buffet lunch and presentation of six business awards to outstanding achievers in the commercial and industrial sectors during the past year.
Jamie said: “I am very pleased to have been invited to speak at the Enterprise Day and Business Awards on behalf of Network Rail.
“It is an honour to be invited to the first ever business event of its kind in South Holland and with 26 years’ experience in the railway industry, I am fully aware of the potential benefits that enhanced railway infrastructure can bring to the communities it serves.
“I am also aware of the opportunities it presents for local and regional enterprise, so I therefore feel very privileged to be playing a part in helping to deliver the £280million Great Northern Great Eastern rail upgrade project.
“I look forward to sharing with South Holland businesses the opportunities this will bring.”
