A Spalding hair salon will be 40 per cent greater in terms of staff numbers over the next two months.

Dad’ll Have a Grumble, in Victoria Street, has already added Radha Krishna to its team after she joined the salon last month.

But Radha, along with manager Maiza Hattrell, Sarah Grogan and Sharon Burton will soon have another new face when Evita Ri, of Spalding, joins them in April.

Maiza said: “We’re growing and getting a lot of postive feedback because people are finding out that Radha is here.

“We’re doing lots of Afro-Caribbean hair styles, Brazilian treatments and straightening for people with blonde hair, eyebrow and eyelash tinting, threading, tweezing and cuts.”

Evita, originally from Poland, became friends with Maiza during their time together as self-employed hairdressers at Boston College’s Red Lion Quarter campus in Spalding.

We’re growing and getting a lot of postive feedback because people are finding out that we are a team of friendly hair stylists who make friends with our clients which is fantastic

Maiza said: “I got in touch with Evita through social media and asked her if she wanted to join us.

“We are a team of friendly hair stylists who make friends with our clients which is fantastic.”

The next stage in Maiza’a plans for the salon, which she took over in October, is to give it a makeover.

She said: “We’re going to change the salon and give it a vintage look because whilst we’re already improving it, we want to improve it even more.

“But anything we want to change and improve, we sit together and talk about it as a team before doing it.”
