Two Spalding businesswomen are filling a gap in the market for networking groups in the South Holland area.
Christine Grocock and Sandy Newell run Spalding Networking, set up in July 2011 to give businesses in the area the opportunity to make as many new contacts as possible.
The group meets once a month at West Pinchbeck Village Hall between 10am and 12 noon, with between 15 and 20 people at each meeting.
Christine, director of Drive by Websites, Spalding, said: “The group aims to offer an informal and friendly networking experience in order for businesses to exchange new leads and referrals with other group members.
“As networking is an efficient and cost-effective way of building relationships between businesses and opening up new opportunities, it is no surprise that the meetings are well-thought-of and well-supported by different businesses within the area.”
Unlike most networking groups, Spalding Networking doesn’t require a membership fee but instead each guest pays £5 a meeting to cover the costs of hiring the hall and for refreshments.
The group’s next meeting is today with guest speaker and photographer Stuart Handley from graphic design firm Foto 45 of Bourne and for more details, visit www.spaldingnetworking.com
