A second attempt to turn a barn and outbuildings in Gedney Hill into a three-bedroom house has been thrown out by a planning inspector.

Plans for the conversion in North Road were initially refused by South Holland District Council last September and its decision was upheld after an appeal earlier this month.

Both the district council and planning inspector agreed that there was not enough evidence before them to decise whether the barn had been used solely for agricultural purposes under Government guidelines for converting rural properties.
