Estate agents Pygott & Crone, which have branches across the county, has been shortlisted for an award as the region’s best up and coming commercial agent.

The company has been nominated for the honour by judges at the East Midlands Business Link’s Brick Awards ceremony, which takes place on June 4.

Pygott & Crone, which has branches in Grantham, Sleaford and Spalding plus eight other locations, has been growing its commercial property portfolio over the last 12 months.

The commercial side accounts for about 30 per cent of the work of the firm, which also deals in the sale and lettings of residential properties.

Tim Downing, senior partner at Pygott & Crone, said: “The last 12 months have been exciting for us after securing multi-million pound commercial deals within the East Midlands.

“Ninety new houses are set to be built in a sought-after Lincolnshire village location thanks to a £2 million deal we secured with a local builder.

“Gainsborough is set to welcome a national hotel chain to the town thanks a deal we secured for the growing town, which will have a huge impact on tourism, jobs and the leisure industry.

“We’re pleased to be
recognised for our work in the commercial property sector and to be shortlisted for this award after walking away with the title of
Estate Agency of the Year 2014 at The Sunday Times/The Times.”

He added: “We plan to be a major force in commercial property in the coming years.”
