Spalding meat producer Tulip Ltd has been shortlisted for a top global food and consumer goods award.
The company, which has factories across England, is a finalist in the Institute of Grocery Distribution (IGD) Awards for businesses that improve their performance through investing in staff training and development.
Tulip has been shortlisted for the IGD’s Learning and Development Award, with the winners to be announced at a ceremony in London on October 7 hosted by television and radio sports presenter Gabby Logan.
Kirsty Wilkins, Tulip’s group human resources director, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award.
“As one of the region’s largest employers we know how important it is to provide our colleagues with the opportunity to develop and grow their careers with us.”
IGD chief executive Joanne Denney-Finch said: “This year’s IGD Awards received the highest number of entries we have ever had, so to make it through to the final stage is a great achievement.
“The awards are a great opportunity to showcase the very best the food industry has to offer.”
