Carpets have replaced portraits at a Spalding showroom which is taking on the big boys of the flooring industry.
Fenland Carpets opened just over a week ago at a former art shop in Swan Street where owner Nick Bloodworth and sales manager Phill Collins are determined to give customers the best possible deal.
Nick, who has more than 20 years’ experience in supplying carpets and flooring, said: “When we decided to open a new showroom in Spalding, we were looking around and found a vacant premises in the town which used to be the Lincolnshire Gallery.
“Then a man pulled up outside and we asked him who owned the building.
“He said that it was his and we asked about the lease going forward, so we were quite lucky really.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better space and the first week here has been great.”
Fenland Carpets is backing up its slogan of “Think Flooring, Think Fenland” with an opening offer for customers of a ten per cent discount on all flooring and carpets.
Nick said: “We aim to get the right product for the right price and to the timescales people want.
“I’m a carpet person who has a passion for what I do and our job is to identify our customers’ needs, establish their budget, find out their expectations and exceed them.
“At the end of the day, if the customers are happy then I’m happy as well.”
