Young people from The Deepings School, Deeping St James, spent time emulating their parents with a series of two-week work experience placements across a range of industries.

Year 10 students secured placements with employers in Lincolnshire, Rutland, Cambridgeshire and other parts of the country, including Marks and Spencer, East Coast Trains, Peterborough United Football Club and RAF Wittering, near Stamford.

Linda Taylor, careers and work-related learning manger for The Deepings School, said: “An opportunity to experience the world of work first-hand enables students to consider their post-16 options more realistically and discover the qualifications and pathways required for them to reach their career goal.

“We are proud of the way students conducted themselves in the workplace and this experience will enable them to further develop their work-related skills, as well as helping them in their future career planning.

“We would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks to the companies and organisations that have provided a placement to our students.”
