Shoppers in Kirton are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of a new-look Co-operative Food store on Thursday after a £374,000 transformation.
The state-of-the-art store in Station Road will have a larger choice of fresh foods, a more spacious in-store bakery, ready meals and pizzas.
Managers are also promising a “fair and square pricing” policy on goods such as bread, milk and bacon.
James Wiswould, store manager in Kirton, said: “I am excited about welcoming shoppers into the new store where the transformation will be amazing.
“The store will be a hub for the local community and customers will be able to find out what is going on locally and our Community Pioneer, Zena Humberstone, will be fostering a strong involvement in community activities.”
Change is also coming to Morrisons in Pinchbeck which extended its opening hours in response to customer demand.
The store is to open between 7am and 9pm, from 8am until 8pm, after research showed that almost 20 per cent of shoppers go to a store between 6am and 9am or after 8pm to suit worktimes.
