Riverside revival with new food and entertainment mix

A new chef and a change of menu has re-energised the Riverside Bar and Restaurant at Sutton Bridge.

Hungarian chef Zoltan Nyirfas joined the bar and restaurant in Bridge Road on August 1 and he has already made a big impact by introducing a new menu that’s three times the size of the previous one.

It includes a wider selection of steaks, burgers and pasta.

Sally Chapman, bar manager at the Riverside said: “The reaction has been extremely positive and we’ve not had one bad comment.

“This is the start of a new idenity for us and we’re planning on hosting poker evenings, live music and more.

“We also want to start using the downstairs bar and restaurant more.”

Located just off the A17 in Sutton Bridge, the Riverside offers a wide range of meals and deals, with specials for the elderly and a traditional carvery offered every Wednesday and Sunday.

The bar also has a Free House stocking the finest wines, real ales and cask beers. Shoppers and drivers don’t have to feel left out however as they can enjoy non-alcoholic drinks in the morning such as tea and coffee.

The Riverside also has a function room for special ocassions and caters for visitors to Sutton Bridge as well with bed and breakfast accommodation, with rooms that have a television and coffee making facilities in each room.
