Up to 14 new homes are being built for families in Pinchbeck through a partnership between a village group and developers.

Pinchbeck Community Land Trust (CLT) has asked Westleigh Partnership Homes to build the homes on land in Flaxmill Lane, along with an allotment area for families.

The two and three-bedroom homes are expected to be ready by the end of the year when they will be rented out with plans for all profits to be put back into the community, possibly towards the opening of a village shop.

Steve Colby, chairman of Pinchbeck CLT, said: “We are delighted that work has started and really pleased that we should be able to do something for families in Pinchbeck who need affordable houses in the near future.

“This should give the opportunity to 14 families to have houses to rent and we would encourage anyone interested to make sure their names are on the South Holland District Council housing register.

“They should then get in touch with Lincolnshire Rural Housing Association and apply for one of the homes through them.”
