A wholesale butcher from Weston and his family have transformed a series of run-down farm buildings into a shop specialising in tasty food.

Wimberley Hall Farm Shop in Stonegate, the brainchild of Chris Bustance with help from his son Joshua and daughter Tessa, was officially opened by South Holland and The Deepings MP John Hayes after a three-year renovation project.

Chris was inspired to open the shop which sells meats, cheeses and beer, as well as tea and coffee, by close friend and popular Crowland butcher Des Barker who died in May 2010.

Tessa said: “We’ve had some very kind comments about the shop and people are very pleased to have somewhere local where they can buy cooked meats, cheese, fresh bread and vegetables.

“The farm and coffee shop serve the buildings well and are an outlet for our wholesale meat business.”
