The profile of a Pinchbeck IT firm is set to grow after its shortlisting as one of the top 21 companies in Lincolnshire.
PSP (People, Systems and Process) IT Design and Development has reached this year’s Lincolnshire Media Business Awards finals and staff will know next week if it has won in one or more of 11 categories to be decided.
Chief executive officer Joe Verde and chief technical officer Brett Caruso started the company in Bourne five years ago and since then, it has grown from two to 11 employees and invested more than £300,000 in moving to new offices at Spalding Office Park, Pinchbeck, in 2011.
Joe said: “2013 has been the coming of age year for PSP IT since we moved two and a half years ago and we describe ourselves as the best kept secret in the area.
“The Lincolnshire Media Business Awards is the first one we’ve applied for since being established and I’m very proud that we’ve been shortlisted for an award.
“We’ve been trying to sell the idea of innovation to our clients and help them take things to the next level, so it’s amazing to be recognised for that and it’ll be the first time we’ll have taken the whole team out to an awards ceremony.”
The firm designs and develops IT systems for the aerospace, banking, education and industrial sectors, amongst others, including a new EX-AM Portal to assist with the marking and moderation of exam paper.
PSP IT staff will find out whether it has won an award at Lincolnshire Showground on Wednesday, October 16.
