A £240 million project to create a new rail freight hub near Spalding will be showcased at a meeting of potential investors in France next month.

The proposed Spalding Rail-Freight Interchange in Deeping St Nicholas is one of the projects to be discussed at an international business fair in Cannes between March 11 and 14.

Ursula Lidbetter, chairman of Greater Lincolnshire LEP who is attending the event, said: “This represents an unrivalled opportunity for us to engage with potential investors and encourage them to bring their future development plans to Greater Lincolnshire.”
