Help is at hand for parents and grandparents in Spalding looking for somewhere to buy presents for the new arrival to their families.
Baby Boutique in Station Street has been open just over a week but the response to shop owner Rosella Beck’s new enterprise has been overwhelmingly positive.
Rosella, a former call centre manager from Spalding, said: “I’d thought about it for a while as I was aware that there wasn’t a shop in town specially for people who wanted to buy babywear.
“At the beginning of April, I decided to go for it and the first week has been very exciting.
“I’ve had lots of people coming in, so there’s definitely a need for the shop.”
Baby Boutique specialises in clothes and accessories for children up to 24 months, but Rosella has long-term plans to open a second shop for older children.
“People in Spalding are good at supporting local businesses and everybody has been more than positive about the shop which I’ve found quite overwhelming,” Rosella said.
“I want to make people aware that I’m here and to spread the word about Baby Boutique to their friends.”
