Repair work on Platt’s Bridge, West Marsh Road, Spalding, next month will see the area closed to heavy traffic.

The bridge will be closed overnight between 7pm on Wednesday June 4 and 6am on Thursday June 5 for maintenance work, subject to weather conditions.

Diversions will be in place and HGVs won’t be able to use West Marsh Road, between West Elloe Avenue and Warden Tree Lane roundabouts.

However, cars will be allowed access to business premises on West Marsh Road.

Richard Waters, principal engineer at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “Once the work is completed, we hope we won’t need to return for another 15 years.”
