Business leaders in South Holland keen to recognise commercial excellence in the area have been praised by Lincolnshire’s leading economic forum.

South Holland Enterprise Day and Business Awards was described as a way of showcasing Spalding as a “proactive” business area by Charlotte Baxter from Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce.

A small team from the chamber is joining forces with Spalding and District Chamber of Commerce and South Holland District Council in organising the event at Springfields Events and Conference Centre, Spalding, on November 20.

The Spalding Guardian and Lincolnshire Free Press is backing the event which includes awards for the best business, support of the community and business innovation.

Charlotte said: “We’re always keen to help businesses in South Holland which is a really proactive area for the chamber and its great that business leaders in Spalding have come up with the idea of putting this event on.

“The awards recognise excellence in the area and with it being a new event, it’s something we want to see continue in the years to come.”
