BIG name cosmetics chain The Body Shop is opening an outlet at Springfields on Thursday.
Its unit at the Spalding shopping centre will be the first of the retailer’s new outlet stores as part of an expansion programme in the UK and should create six jobs.
The Body Shop will take the former Paper Mill shop in West Avenue and is believed to be the first in a series of big name new arrivals of “respected and well known fashion brands” in the coming weeks.
Tracy Thomas, Springfields communications manager, said: “The Body Shop is a huge international brand and we’re delighted to have the first new outlet store in the country. It highlights just how successful we’ve been, despite the difficult trading times, that major brands are still being attracted.”
The Body Shop stocks natural and ethical cosmetic products and it is expected to offer its high street ranges at discount prices at Springfields.
The store is advertising for consultants and an assistant store manager.
