New recruitment firm keen to display ‘personal touch’
The partnership behind a new Spalding recruitment firm are hoping quality and consistency will make them the number one destination for employers looking for new staff.
BBS Recruitment Ltd, based at the Red Lion Quarter, was set up earlier this month by Paul Blake and Rachel Jordan to serve the industrial, commercial and construction.
Paul (39) and Rachel (38), both originally from Holbeach but now living in West Deeping, have backgrounds in construction and recruitment respectively but came together after spotting a gap in the job sourcing market.
“A lot of firms put so much emphasis on their workers being happy, but many of these firms have also told us that they just want to get on with their work and let someone else take away the effort of finding reliable staff,” Paul said.
“We’re hoping to draw business and workers from a 30-mile radius of Spalding because there are a lot of firms in this area bringing in staff from Boston and Peterborough.”
Rachel confirmed the firm deals with both temporary and permanent posts and has a monitoring system in place for its staff once they start work at a firm.
She said: “We want to secure local contracts for local people where they have work that’s not just a case of in for one week and out the next.
“We give our staff a health and safety induction and then put them into a firm to work, as long as their skills match.”
Paul and Rachel both said how excited they were with their base in the Red Lion Quarter and believe it will prove a valuable aid in securing contracts with local firms.
“We’re in negotiations with firms at the moment and we believe a combination of quality, consistency and the personal touch means we have a lot to offer,” Paul said.
