'It's better than winning Lottery'
DGM Properties walked off with the main prize of the night, the Business of the Year award.
Chairman Russ Delahoy said he was delighted with the accolade, which was presented as the climax to the awards.
He said: "Winning this means a fantastic achievement for all my team and staff.
"I can't say how pleased I am – it's better than winning the Lottery."
The company, which has been going since 1978 and is based in Spalding, builds personally tailored homes in Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, focusing on build quality, inter-ior design and customer satisfaction.
It offers a range of homes from starter homes for the first time buyer, properties for the investor, to family and dream homes.
DGM prides itself on its special touch it brings to developments which are both architecturally distinct and have individual features to create personality and individuality.
Mr Delahoy said: "What we offer is a complete range of homes and our aim is to give customers complete satisfaction.
"Every single person who works for us has these same aims and we all share the same belief.
"The next step is to build even better houses with better developments to keep our customers as delighted as we can."
Mr Delahoy said he was not expecting to win and praised the other businesses which made the final – Lloyd Loom and www.winegifts4u.co.uk
He said: "It was a close run thing and the other businesses were very, very good.
"We were just pleased to make the final."
Judge Mark Spinks, from NatWest, said DGM won because of its passion for the quality of the homes and the services it delivers to customers.
