Norwich & Peterborough building society’s Spalding branch has chosen Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) as its Charity of the Year for 2013.
The branch has joined its colleagues across the Society and also across Yorkshire, Chelsea and Barnsley building Society colleagues and pledged to raise as much money as possible for the RNLI.
From Thursday, all N&P staff across the Society’s 46 branches, including the team on Sheep Market will hold fundraising events and sell special RNLI items to raise money for the charity that saves lives at sea.
Luke Harrison, N&P Spalding branch manager said: “I am delighted that we have chosen the RNLI as our 2013 Charity of the Year and joining our colleagues in raising as much money as possible for this fantastic charity.
“The RNLI‘s volunteer crews play a vital role in keeping our seas and beaches safe so I’m proud that we will be doing our bit in supporting them and giving something back to thank them for all their hard work.
“I hope our customers and members of the public in Spalding are going to get behind us in 2013 and help us raise a fantastic amount of money for the RNLI.”
The RNLI was chosen as the Charity of the Year through a member vote.
