ABOUT 60 children from the federated schools of Surfleet Seas End and Weston St Mary got together for a nature day.
Anett Baxter, Foundation and Key Stage one leader at Surfleet, organised the day, which centred around arts and crafts. The children made collages and mobiles from natural objects, such as leaves and twigs, and painted and sponged sunflower paintings.
She said: “We have a nice environmental area in school and we are developing that as well so we had activities outside and the weather was perfect for it.
“The children gained from the team work, from socialising with others and in their art skills.”
