Aleading dog rescue charity is urging people to brew up and help a pup next month
Jerry Green Dog Rescue, which has a centre in Algarkirk, is encouraging people to stage coffee mornings throughout May to raise much-needed money for the charity.
To kick off ‘Brew Up, Help a Pup’ month Jerry Green Dog Rescue will be offering coffee and a piece of cake to everyone who visits between 11am and 3pm on Saturday, April 27.
“Everyone is welcome to host a coffee morning in May, from schools, societies and offices to friends and neighbours,” said Catherine Foster, head of fundraising.
“And it’s a great opportunity for cafes and tea rooms too.
“We’re asking people who care about animals to ‘paws’ for a cup of coffee and do their bit for their local dog rescue centre. With over 160 dogs in our care, it’s surprising the difference a fundraising cuppa can really make.
“If you’re planning to hold a coffee morning let us know so we can support you.”
There’s plenty of advice available from the fundraising team at Jerry Green and Stokes of Lincoln, who are sponsoring the event, will be offering discounts on sales of ground coffee as well as free loan of coffee machines for the day
